For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved music videos. Whether that was on MTV, back when they still played videos, and then when YouTube came around, there was so much more access to this type of media. Music videos allow you to see another layer of what the artist was intending, they can either shatter your infatuation for a song or force you to see the song itself in a completely different way.

I keep this playlist updated with videos I love. I hope it continues to grow.

I never hesitate to admit what and who inspires me. My family is the first thing that comes to mind. People that have helped expand my interests and be a continuous learner. I approach every situation with the mindset “I might not know how to do this, but I can figure it out.” That I can figure it out gene is one that I am incredibly thankful for that.

This YouTube playlist contains some videos that have inspired me.

I’ve included some links below to friends and other artists that inspire me, as well as a link to a Notion page where I’ve compiled resources that I use. You can do a lot more than you think. I hope this proves that to you.

The difficult thing about the Adobe Suite is the price. These are programs I use every single day, at work and at home. There are alternatives out there that offer similar abilities, without the price tag.

Alternatives:

  • Free to use.

DaVinci Resolve - Video Editing

  • User friendly.

  • Free to use.

  • After Effects / Premiere alternative.

Procreate - Illustration

  • Takes a bit of getting used to.

  • Not free but lower cost than Adobe products.
